1st Ride
Well, Eric's got my bike running so I finally got to ride it! Basically my 1st time on a bike too so it was scary up until I got on it and started cuisin on our street. Then I just got a huge grin. Its freakin awesome :) I rode to the end of our street and turned in the culdesac. Coming up to the turn I got nervous too, but it turned out to be no sweat. Rode back up to the driveway and Eric said I was doing great so I kept going to the other end of our street towards the highway. Got to the end and slowly(like2MPH)turned back around. Came back past the house and did a loop of the block getting up to 3rd on the street that runs parallel with ours. Super sweet, made all the turns and shifted properly, came to the stop sign and was able to stop and go without killing the bike. But the diaphram problem is still there so I had to stop. Ready to try again!
- You go girl. Keep the rubber on the road and avoid road rash. It's a good idea to wear protective clothing when your'e first learning to ride especially gloves and a good helmet. Don't be scared but it's also a good idea to ride with a bit of apprehension. You never know what that other driver is going to do, until he does it. Ride Safe.
