Long one so be ready!
OK I was looking at my blogs and finally!! I get to post about not falling!
So to start this off we may have to step back about oh lets
gowiith a week before my bday and i have got all kinds of parts for my bike on order, and going through hell getting it, well not really hell
because hanging out at Tj's cycle on my lunch break sure beats sittin at my desk sometimes reading Lost recaps...., but the financing
people i use were kinda giving us the run around, finally the Thursday before my bday boom! I got 17"Excel Pro Series Rims W'Carriers
and brakes and exhaust (already was on got it the week before) etc etc parts list soon to come hehe! So I got all this cool street stuff but
I'm goin for one sweet weekend ride back at Cherokee oh yeah that tree will feel my boot this time..From Me Kickin It@!@ Soon with my
bday. 27th Feb. good ol anoack and I spent most of the day gettin things ready for camping; vehicles inspected, me checkin up on my
bikes, getting food, etc. Saturday morning hits and everyone whos going meets up at my house we load up and head for the woods!
So...I fail...big time =( I forgot to bring the tubes for a's bike...and well it kinda sat there
But..I did fix the 150 and still had the lil 125 and my 250 so....we still got to ride and lots....and DAMN that FMF 4.1 is loud..(silencer/spark
arrestor ordered/delivered/awaiting assembly..) yeah loud and i was spinnin the dirt every where and when i followed austin while he was on my bike...well it was like taking a sand bath laced with exhaust fumes haha..hits brakes...
I found my tree and well... didnt really kick too hard more of a knock on wood damn i was lucky as shit the way i fell uh yeah ill knock again when i pass it for a while
So yeah camping was cold and the food was good and so was coffee mmmm
The next day riding was great i think i got to see austin wreck my bike sorta like 3 times hehe and he only kinda banged his foot a lil so
eh and other than that...i realise again that my lil ttr is a damn trooper and fun as hell..still think theres a small chance i may be faster
through parts of them trails on that lil bike than i am on the 250 or a 450 haha
Well we pack up after a long fun as hell weekend and get home and i take about oh maybe no time at all to get in touch with eric who
got in touch with gino and we spent a cool hard working painful night puttin the supermoto wheels together and then puttin them on the
bike First off Eric and I put the carriers together then put the rear wheel sprocket and rotor on and during the rotor process my wrench
slipped and i found out how damn sharp those galfer rotors are...sharp enough to almost take the damn knuckle off! "dude your gettin
blood all over my garage ..." haha yeah yoou know there was gonna be some kind of blood and pain in this after all hahahah Gino
makes it over during this part and helps us get the tires on well basically mans up and PUT them damn tires on!!! No way in hell i could
have got that tire on without him that night Props Gino You da Man! and Eric too for great hospitality and a good time while basically
walking me through and doing a whole bunch of it for me and letting me use your tools!
So yea as you can see in some of the pics good ol Yumi went from being a blue dirt kicker to having some phat tires and wheels and on
the way to riding the roads with some peeps and having the monkey off my back yes i know expensive and probly somewhat crazy
but@! its my damn bike and imma do what i want!! btw those wheels will swap nicely onto whatever yamaha 450 i end up finding one
day ...sooner more likely than later *crosses finger
on the whole supermoto thing the build is going as is right now wheels installed but need to take a link or two out and i will feel better, getting a 2nd chain tomorrow and gonna measure it up and get the links taken out then boom thats my sumo chain and the one now is my dirt even easier!*crosses fingers, i have all the black plastics in place but may need some washers put on for my own peace of mind, gotta put the silencer in just in case theres db tests on inspection and so i don't feel like a complete ass in neighbourhoods, figure out my jetting issue (silencer cure?), wire in all the lights, put the seat cover on, wire in the speedo/tach/temp thingy, put my mirrors on and horn, pull wheels off clean rotors, install new pads, put wheels back on, install steel braided brake lines, install pressure switches for rear brake lights, cut the plastic fork protectors to fit my tire, make a chain block or buy one, get axle sliders or make em, uhmmmmm figure out a tool kit for my bike, hmmmm get license, insurance, inspection, registration, find some riding buddies and hit the streets
boom headshot!
