This email was forwarded from my mother inlaw and since it caught me completely off guard and made me laugh, I wanted to share.

A crusty old biker out on a long summer ride in the country pulls up to a tavern in the middle of no where, parks his bike and walks inside.

As he passes through the swinging doors, he sees a sign hanging over the bar:

COLD BEER: $2.00

HAMBURGER: $2.25

CHEESEBURGER: $2.50

CHICKEN SANDWICH: $3.50

HAND JOB: $50.00

Checking his wallet to be sure he has the necessary payment, the ole' biker walks up to the bar and beckons to the exceptionally attractive female bartender who is serving drinks to a couple of sun-wrinkled farmers.

She glides down behind the bar to the ole biker.

"Yes?" she inquires with a wide, knowing smile, "may I help you?"

The ole biker leans over the bar, "I was wondering young lady," he whispers, "are you the one who gives the hand-jobs?"

She looks into his eyes with that wide smile and purrs "Why yes, yes, I sure am".

The ole' biker leans closer and into her left ear whispers softly, "Well, wash your hands real good, cause I want a cheeseburger".

Well, Eric's got my bike running so I finally got to ride it!  Basically my 1st time on a bike too so it was scary up until I got on it and started cuisin on our street.  Then I just got a huge grin.  Its freakin awesome :)  I rode to the end of our street and turned in the culdesac.  Coming up to the turn I got nervous too, but it turned out to be no sweat.  Rode back up to the driveway and Eric said I was doing great so I kept going to the other end of our street towards the highway.  Got to the end and slowly(like2MPH)turned back around.  Came back past the house and did a loop of the block getting up to 3rd on the street that runs parallel with ours.  Super sweet, made all the turns and shifted properly, came to the stop sign and was able to stop and go without killing the bike.  But the diaphram problem is still there so I had to stop.  Ready to try again!

Alright so I just checked the ROT rally website and they're starting to post the coming attractions.  My personal favorite added to the roster is midget wrestling!  They also listed the TX Chop off which sounds pretty freakin cool.  All the RV slots on the parade route are sold out but I believe there is some sort of waiting list for cancellations that might come up.  The official site is www.rotrally.com -there is still camping available and plenty of hotels in Austin (if you reserve early enough, I imagine).  The dates are June 11-14 2009, so everybody start makin your plans cause its one badass TX biker party!  :)-LilMomma

Hmmmmm.  So I am thoroughly enjoying browsing this site and all the beautiful bikes you guys and gals are posting.  But I'm hoping to reach all the people with no pics and tell them to post pics of their bikes.  If ya don't want to post a self pic thats fine but don't leave the bike out!  I love logging in and checking out what each new member posts on their profile and all the shots of bikes.  The photo gallery is my favorite and I spend a lot of time there just browsing and commenting all your slick, beautiful, custom, racing, dirtbiking, and so on. I could go on with the variety but its freakin awesome!  all of it!  When I went to the ROT rally here last June, I spent lots of time in my camping chair with my camera just taking pics of all the bikes going by our camp site.  Its one of the best things about bikes...they're all so different.  I never find one exactly the same, because everyone personalizes their bike to some extent whether they bought a bike, completely gutted it, and redid it or just added some small stuff.  You just never know what you're gonna get and thats half the fun for me!  So thanks to those of you posting your bikes' pics - they're all great.

This is a great way to get connected with other bikers in your area. With this site you can post up events in your area, benefit rides or just meets.Through out the life of this site I have had the pleasure of meeting some really great people in my area that I would have never of known about without this site. Together we have posted parties in the forums area and have invited other bikers in our area from this site to join us. We have had great success. I would like to see similar events taking place all over our nation.
